Family Law & Collaborative Law

The experience of being involved in a family law matter is often filled with anxiety and many questions.  My job is to support you and guide you through the process by ascertaining your goals and helping you reach them in a timely way, and I enjoy helping families move through a state of crisis and on to a stable future.

Whether you need an attorney to draft documents memorializing your agreement, would like to know more about the Collaborative divorce process or  Mediation, or are unsure where to start, feel free to contact me to schedule an initial consultation.

I have made family court appearances in nine metro area counties, and know how to navigate the court system efficiently – or help keep your family out of court altogether.  There are many different paths to reaching an agreement and meeting your goals.  My strategy is to provide you with information and guidance so that you can make informed decisions, at the same time as supporting you in making those tough decisions.

Family law can be especially contentious and costly – but that does not have to be the case for you. I will not argue for the sake of arguing, or incur costly fees for you that do not help you reach your goals.  I am a proponent of attempting mediation early in a traditional divorce (even before filing), and an advocate of the Collaborative Divorce process. I will ask how you envision an ideal process playing out, and help you choose the process that is best for you.

I also provide consultant services to parties who have reached an agreement and would like an attorney to help draft the necessary documents, as well as mediation for parties who have not yet commenced their court case but would like to attempt an efficient and low cost resolution.
